Anointed Books is committed to making anointedbooks.digital usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. Study material is no good to anyone who cannot get into it.
1. Standard we work to
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the recognised international standard for making web content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
2. What we have done
- Structure. Pages use proper headings in order, landmark regions, and meaningful page titles, so screen reader users can navigate by structure rather than reading everything in sequence.
- Keyboard access. Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and the focus indicator is clearly visible. A skip link at the top of each page jumps straight to the main content.
- Contrast. Text and background colours are chosen to meet or exceed the contrast ratios required at Level AA.
- Text sizing. Text is set in relative units and reflows without loss of content when the page is zoomed to 200 per cent.
- Images. Meaningful images carry alternative text; decorative images are marked so assistive technology skips them.
- Forms. Every field has a visible, programmatically associated label, and errors are described in text rather than by colour alone.
- Motion. We keep animation minimal and honour the operating system's reduced-motion setting.
- Responsive layout. The site works on small screens and at high zoom without horizontal scrolling.
3. Our digital titles
Our books, study guides, and reference tools are delivered in formats that work with screen readers and allow text resizing. Printable worksheets are provided with a text structure that assistive technology can read. If a title you have purchased presents a barrier for you, tell us — we will provide it in an alternative format at no additional cost.
4. Known limitations
We are honest about where we are not yet finished:
- Some older material carried over from previous platforms has not yet been fully reviewed against WCAG 2.1 AA. We are working through it.
- Transliterated Hebrew and Greek terms may be read unpredictably by some screen readers. We are adding pronunciation and language markup as we revise each title.
- Third-party components, including the Stripe checkout, are outside our direct control. We choose providers with accessibility commitments and raise issues with them when we find them.
5. Tell us about a barrier
If you meet something on this site or in one of our titles that you cannot use, we want to know. Send us a message through the contact page and include the page or title, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using if that is relevant.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five business days and to tell you what we intend to do about it. If a fix will take time, we will offer you the content another way in the meantime.
6. Formal complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response, say so and we will escalate your report for review. We treat accessibility complaints as a priority, not as a formality.
7. Review
This statement is reviewed as the site changes and at least once a year. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
